Buses at Corfu Airport
The majority of buses at the airport are hired by tour operators, as most holidays booked to Corfu include transportation to the hotel.
There is a bus station is next to the Arrivals Hall where buses depart to the bus terminal in the city of Corfu and the Platia Y Theotoki, (also called San Rocco Square), where buses run to many destinations in Corfu.
A ride into Corfu city centre from the airport only takes about 10 minutes and bus transport is very popular with tourists as they operate around Corfu Town itself, and further afield to most areas of the island. Ferry and hydrofoil services are also available, should you wish to travel around the coastline or visit another island.
The best way to explore the island is to hire a car as this will enable you to visit places off the beaten track and travel at your own pace rather than being led by bus timetables.
Corfu Local (Blue) Bus Timetables
These are municipal buses which leave from San Rocco Square in Corfu Town centre. Tickets must be purchased from the bus company kiosk in the square or from kiosks and village shops. before boarding the bus. You are advised to buy a ticket for the return journey at the same time.

Country and Long Distance (Green) Buses.
KTEL, or the Green Bus Service, is the National Express of Greece and serves the island as a whole running some direct routes to major cities on the mainland. Information about connecting routes to other mainland cites can be obtained from the central bus station in Corfu Town. In recent years they have been replacing their fleet with modern air-conditioned vehicles and are comfortable and cheap.
All these services leave from the Bus Station which is close to the New Port in Corfu Town.
